Flora and fauna is our summer inspiration. While researching other artists and similar ideas to ours, I came across this beautiful work of art. In Brazil various animals are becoming endangered due to iron extraction, with Brazil being one of the biggest producers of iron ore. Here Marco Ugolini has made iron sculptures representing these animals. Each sculpture is the exact size and weight of the animal.
When photographed, these sculptures look like a photoshop edit deleting the animal that should be in the environment it belongs - a stark and yet beautiful reminder of the concept behind the art.
