Designer: Sarah Waterhouse

Sarah Waterhouse is a textile printer and designer based in Sheffield. She makes all sorts of little items with her fabrics such as purses, glasses cases, pocket mirrors, knitting bags, and even fabric Pug cuddly plushies. (pugs again im seeing pugs everywhere now :)  very sweet stuff.

Shopping in style

Canvas bags are everywhere these days. Most or either plain and boring or really loud and unattractive.  So I went in search of cute and stylist not too much to ask I think.

Designer: Beverley Gee

Beverley Gee is a Salford based designer who creates these fantastic ceramics.
Her new range (below) is a contemporary mixture of subtle colour and simple shapes. Her use of a black arrow really looks striking.   

Few words from Beverley's website
"I am interested in the gradation of colours, asymmetrical lines and hidden spaces.
My designs follow simple, clean forms with subtle decoration. 
To compliment the pure nature of porcelain, I incorporate other materials, such as twigs, grasses and ribbon." 

Design Studio: Helkat Designs

The Helkat team comprises of Wiltshire ladies Helen and Hollie. Together they create these nostalgic, vintage looking fabrics inspired by great British iconography. 

You cant get any more British than this, suddenly Im feeling all patriotic.

Wood!

There is something very warm and cozy about wood. I've always been fascinated with it.  The idea that a tree can be growing for hundreds of years and that we can see that   history in the unique patterns is quite amazing to me. Like a fingerprint, wood leaves a distinct mark and no two pieces of wood are ever the same.
