Bel's art world

It was hard to hide our squeals of delight when a new package arrived on our desks from the lovely Bel. Over at Bel's art world, wonderful characters in muted hues can help you celebrate a birthday, send well wishes or hopes of feeling better.
Belinda Chen graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and is now based in London. Her illustrations can be found in the form of brooches, tote bags, original illustrations, zines, prints and these wonderful cards that are newly in stock at Nook & Cranny. It's Christmas soon, what delights could Bel have in store for us?!

Vintage saucers upcycled into a new candle stick? Yes, please!

A firm favourite from customers and staff alike at Nook & Cranny, the creative partnership behind Loglike breathe new life and meaning into old saucers. With each being hand sourced and hand altered, each is a vintage one-off with a complimentary coloured candle included.

Forever Foxed

Only sometimes do I wish for more friends birthdays to arrive, because then I could send everyone an adorable Forever Foxed card. Not only do the 'terrierific' birthday card range feature hand illustrated pup drawings of all breeds of terriers, on badges, but a pound from every sale of the vintage fox terrier on wheels photo card range go towards a fox terrier rescue charity. How good is that?

Uh Oh Deer

Animals, pastel colours, sensitivity to detail and quality - what's not to love about Verity's work at Uh Oh Deer? Such attractive and whimsical prints would compliment any wall, and they sure look great nestled into our 'gallery wall' at the shop.

Iota Illustration

Oliver, at Iota Illustration, has a fantastic talent for making bright and cheeky screen prints that appeal to both children and adults. He is an experienced and professional illustrator who has had a number of commissions, including work for Time Out magazine and The Independent newspaper. (How lucky are we to stock his prints!)
Nook & Cranny felt that Oliver's wit, vibrancy and attention to detail in each edition of print would be well suited to our 'gallery wall' at the Shop. And we were right. We shall share some pictures of the display and the shop very soon.

Sophie In Disguise

I wonder what kind of cards Harry Potter uses to wish his friends a Happy Birthday? Something magical probably. While we don't have access to sorcery and spells at Nook & Cranny, we think this range of birthday cards from Sophie In Disguise is pretty magical.

New on the shelves this Autumn/Winter at Nook & Cranny is Tom Butchers stoneware ceramics.

And with such inspiring views, Tom Butcher Ceramics have nature at their heart. Dip glazed pots and square mugs allow the tactile stoneware to play main stage, looking perfect as a center piece on display, fullfilling it's duties during tea time or adding a new texture to feel when warming your hands on a hot mug of your favourite.
